Directional spots are the next best thing in my opinion. I thinks its actualy a few more than 28 but not by a lot. But when you thikn they almost all have 2+ saves, 2 wounds and are immune to instant death you start to see why.<br /><br /><br />On the case of useing the rules, anyone who just enjoys 40K will see the army and go, "awesome a custode army, I don't care about what rules you use, lets have an awesome game!" Plus, they are sypprisingly balanced (tempus are good at what they do) ilve used their mechanicum list a few times and have had just as many defeats as victories.<br /><br />In terms of playing GW regulation armies, I think I will have to go with the grey knights, assuming they get power weapons etc rather than that whole force weapons do different things for different people stuff.
